Se7ens Meme

Nettie tagged me for this seemingly simple Se7ens meme. I haven't had to think this hard in a long time! Here goes:

7 books I love:
A good Thesaurus (thank goodness for shift F7 in Word)
The Secret Garden
Creative Counterpart
Narnia series
Frog and Toad books
I was going to put the dictionary, too, but thought that might be overkill.

You can tell I mostly read to children.

7 movies I could watch over and over:
The Sound of Music
The Wizard of Oz
Princess Bride
Little Women
Winnie the Pooh (remember Heffalumps and Woozles?)
Mary Poppins
You can tell I am in desperate need of a date.

7 things I say often:
I love you!
It’s okay, Mommy’s here.
I’m glad you’re mine.
What sounds good for dinner?
I’ll give you an opportunity to rephrase that.
Work it out!
Hurry! Run to the potty! You can make it!

7 things that attracted me to my spouse (don’t know why they put this in the past tense or why they limited it only to 7):
He has a strong faith.
He has broad shoulders.
He has a knack for making me laugh until my sides hurt.
He treats his mother and grandmother like queens.
Nobody ever has anything but good things to say about him.
He loves kids.
He makes me feel as if I am the only woman in the world.
His life is not all about him.

7 things I cannot do:
Bungee jump
Eat raw fish or meat of any kind
Crawl into small, dark spaces (there goes my hope for fame on Fear Factor, huh?)
Knowingly berate my husband
Go a day without telling each person in my family “I love you” as many times as I can
Keep a perfect house
Stand to write anything with spelling or grammatical errors, except for “effect” (Hey, if I can’t have OCD with regard to housework, at least my writing can be neat!) . Unfortunately, I absolutely have no problem with a properly placed sentence fragment. Really.

7 things I want to do before I die:
See the historical sites on the East Coast
Be a grandmother
Live to see my grandchildren share my faith
Grow a vegetable garden
Perfect my fudge-making technique
Think of an even longer meme than this one – sheesh!

Yes, that was only six. I like to think of this as a work in progress.

7 People I'd like to hear Se7ens from:
I'm a newbie to the blog world, so leave me a comment and I will add you here:

Code Yellow Mom (who shares my loathing of grammatical errors)

It's fun, and you're next!

Thanks for playing! I loved reading your lists and making you think so hard!

Great sevens! I'll take the challenge if you want to read it. :)

I also love the thesaurus and could probably give you a list of at least seven common grammatical errors that drive me batty - it's my area of OCD, too.

And I appreciate how you talk about your husband...what a nice relationship.
