Father's Day from the kids

Yea! I can upload pictures tonight!

Here are some snippets of the Fathers Day cards the kids worked on for Dennis yesterday. From the two preschoolers, he got hearts and handprints and lots of squiggles words, with DAD and LOVE and random letters thrown in there for good measure.

This is a poem by our eight-year-old. She doesn't know about standard poetry lines, so it took me a couple of times through to catch the rhymes. It helps if you imagine a rapper psch-psch-psching in the background:

This is the cover of the card made by our 12 yr old (don'tcha just love those knees?). Inside, she said she was so glad Dennis was her dad, and thanked him for always being there for her.
I like the way everyone is smiling while being juggled high overhead.

We really do have a good time around here (once we get past the holy institutional terror part!). Dennis is much more adept in the "fun" department than I am, something I loved him for when we first got married, but appreciate SO much more with a bunch of kids!

Our 11 yr old son didn't want his card included for the world to see, but let me tell you, that boy loves his dad.

His card ended with this sentence: "There could never EVER be a better Dad than you."

Mark Twain said, "I can live for two months on a good compliment."

Let's see, five kids times two months...Hmm. I think Dennis should be set till well past Christmas!

Loved the rap! Dad I think you're great! I think of you when I count to eight! What a cutie.

Your 12 year old is a very talented artist.

I'm definitely putting your girls on my list of possibilities for future arranged marriage candidates. ;)
