Good to be home!

My trip to the lovely city of St. Louis was wonderful. I said I wanted a Sabbath, right? Well, I got it, and so much more! (Not sure my husband's weekend was quite so restful...)

Our cousin's wedding at a historical mansion was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. It was a great excuse to see family members we hadn't seen for a long time, and even meet some we'd never met!

A few highlights:
  • Being asked repeatedly if my sister and I were twins, just like when we were kids (we're not, but when you both wear little black dresses, it's a bit confusing! Boy, that thing has come in handy this summer)!

  • At the Gardens, being inspired to create this around my newly painted mailbox:
  • Sleeping in until 9:30 on Saturday morning. I can't remember the last time I did that. At least thirteen years ago.

  • No cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, keeping track of (other people's) loose items, mediating fights discussions, or picking up debris.

  • Having complete and total control of the camera for four whole days. When I uploaded the pictures yesterday, there was only one self-portrait such as this one, and no genie pictures.

Wait a minute. I missed this (Well, maybe not the cooking part. Or the cleaning. I really could do without the mediating, and the debris-picking-up, too).

Hmm. I missed most of this.

It's good to be home.

Nice bedhead picture:) You both look lovely in your little black dresses too. Glad you had a restful weekend. Bet your husband was dancing for joy to have you back though:)

Wow! What an incredible weekend! It sounds like you had a great time and I have to admit, I did a double-take when I saw that picture of you and your sister. Twins indeed!!

Boy, you can tell your sisters! And she looks familiar, but not because she looks like you. Does she have a site?

You guys DO look like twins! How sweet is the kid self-portrait? I love little surprises like that on my camera.
Glad you had fun - your mailbox looks great.

Like I told your sister, I was sad to see that I missed the chance to have you over for coffee....or perhaps meet you at the closest Starbucks!
I am glad you enjoyed our city.

You are welcome anytime!!!
