Blog friends are real friends

Saturday night I got to meet about 20 blog friends in real life at the DFW Bloggers Get-Together!

Nothing - not a weekend full of kid events, not a frustrating hour sitting in construction traffic, not even this masterful job by some of our 13-year-old daughter's friends - could keep me from the prospect of taco salad dinner at Antique Mommy's:

I walked in the door and I felt right at home - comfortable, like meeting old friends. Should I have been surprised?

Later I'll post more, including links to some amazing women who share a common obsession bond here in Blogland. Yes, I have been in the presence of greatness. Can you see my glow?

Now we share something even more - a memory!

Sounds like you had fun. Just have your kids go out and see who can get the most TP out of your yard!! Make it a contest and see how fast it gets cleaned up.

Oh so jealous... Would have loved to met up with you all. =) I'm glad to hear that you all had a wonderful time. I can't wait to hear more about it...

Thou shalt not covet. Or be envious, right?
But I'm glad you got to go meet some fellow bloggers - obviously I've been longing to do that myself!
Can't wait to hear more!

I love that last line. We do share a memory. I'm looking forward to when it's more than just one!

What a delight to meet you face to face Katherine. You and your sister both.

This might be the first time I've ever seriously thought it would be nice to live in Texas...

Love the TP... They really did do a great job - how'd they get it so high?
