A most glorious treat

Today I am having the most glorious treat.

It's better than a truckload of roses.
It's better than a ten-pound bag of M&Ms.
It's better than a professional hair cut and color (not that I would know anything about the latter!).
It's better than a full-body massage.

I can't think of a much better way for my husband to tell me he loves me, in a language that speaks to my soul.

I'm having my house professionally cleaned.

Of course, it's taken me over a week to get ready. I feverishly went through piles of this and that - papers that have literally sat for A YEAR (Part of getting ready included the purchase of a shredder. I haven't had this much fun in a decade!). My kids hid, trembling at my zealousness, as I cleared out a ridiculous mass of resident minutiae under beds, sofas, desks and dressers. Everything else will get cleared out in one massive haul to the garage in a few laundry baskets for the day (I didn't claim to be perfect, did I?).

Now that I can see most of the surfaces in my house, the cleaning part should be a piece of cake.

Or maybe a slice of pre-Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.

Did I mention I really love my husband?

ENJOY! Your husband is awesome! And I agree better than roses, chocalate, new hair do, or body massages.

Oh, that would be the best present ever! I'm going to have to tell my hubby that I've decided that what I want for Christmas is him to hire someone to come clean house for me lol, it really needs it!

Katherine that definitely speaks my language too! What a weight to be lifted off your shoulders. You deserve it!!!!! And when your hubbie sees how stress free and happy it makes you he may even decide to make it a regular event...he he.

Okay, your husband totally rocks. I can't think of too many gifts that would be better than someone else cleaning my house.
