Thankful...for a break

Well, we're almost back to normal around here. After a late evening of basketball and softball last night, I'm looking around my living room, wondering where the Spartan-clean floor went? Sheesh. Oh well, underneath the clutter it's clean, so I console myself.

I'm taking the next week off - my husband's parents, brothers, and their families are coming, and, I found out yesterday, so are my parents! So I'm sure the next few days will bring plenty of blog-fodder. You can expect some posts like "Where on earth will we put everyone?" and "How to set the table for a mob."

I have no expectations of perfection - in spite of the my best efforts, there is a certain amount of craziness when you get so many people all crammed around whatever table you can throw a tablecloth over! Even so, I have so much to be thankful for, and I want to spend my energy enjoying every minute of it, not stressing the things that are inevitably going to go wrong!

I hope you have a wonderful holiday with plenty of good food, and family and friends to share it with. Here's my prayer:

Finally, brethren sisters, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

1 Corinthians 13:11
See you November 27!

My poor kiddos have been sick this week, so I am *praying* all is well for Thursday! Lots of cleaning and herbal concoctions going on lately~

He who thanks but with the lips
Thanks but in part;
The full, the true Thanksgiving
Comes from the heart.
