Making tracks

Okay, well, just maybe one more post before we head into Christmas week.

Last night as I was tucking in the three younger ones (ages 8, 5 and almost 3), we were going over our latest memory work, Psalm 23.

When we got to the part about “He leads me beside the still waters,” our 5-year-old said matter-of-factly,

“Yeah, he makes tracks so we can follow Him, because He knows the right way.”

Yes, He does.

Lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:24b, NKJV

So sweet. It is amazing what little children really do get.

I learn so much from the words of little children. God uses those little mouths to teach... Unless we become like little children...

Have a Blessed Christmas and Holydays, Katherine...

I haven't been by your blog in quite awhile so I'm just catching up today. What wonderful things I learn from you! Thank you for sharing with us all!

I love the giving a Bible tradition on the 12th birthday - I don't come from a long line of Christians but I could only hope we can start one through our three kids (fourth on the way).

I love the idea of talking about the day with your kids before bed. I admit I try to rush bedtime all too often. Thanks for the reminder of how important that time is!

Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family!!
