And speaking of school...we're out!

Okay, you Northerners will laugh, but our entire city is shut down with an inch or so of sleet. Our kids don't care - sleet, snow, ice, who cares? It's all good!

I am actually chuckling. I thought you were joking! It's snowing beautifully here. The light, fluffy but really slippery stuff. I shovelled and 45 minutes later didn't even look like I had done anything. Umm you have hardly any snow on your lawn. Hee! My kids will wish we were living where you are!

I'm from Minnesota (originally)and they do that here in KY. also. Just the threat of snow and everybody's running to the stores and if we get an inch or two, schools usually let out or are canceled.

Man, if school got out for that much snow here, they'd have been out for the last month at least lol. I remember when I was little, school only got out if there was at least a foot of snow.

You can still see the grass:)
We finally got our first two hour delay due to snow this week. Usually we have one by Nov. here in Iowa.
Remind your kids Not to out their tongues on anything metal. We had a bad experience with that this week(I blogged about it of course)
Have fun in the snow!

Ha! That's so funny! Your lucky kids. There have been no school closures yet - snowstorms? icestorms? -40 weather? The kids keep marching to school, poor babies.

Yes definitely laughing here as I look outside at my 10 foot snowbank and nope I'm not exaggerating! The only ones enjoying it are the kids...lol.

Enjoy the day :)

Snow is new for my kids and they love it no matter what quantity it comes in. Have a fun day at home!

I commented on your last post and I noticed I just squeezed in. One of the reasons I keep coming back and reading is I relate so well to so many of the things you share.
Blessings,
Chris

yeah, not laughing cause it seems that we are one of the few schools on Texas that had to go. My parents live in Odessa, they are out, ya'll are out. My kids had to go. I would so NO FAIR like my kids, but I hate those words, so I won't. :)

Enjoy your day.

That does crack me up. I don't know where you are from but here in OKlahoma the kids have been out of school since Friday and are OUT of snow days! Yeah, and we have MORE snow coming in. Our sleet resembles snow, but it's like 4 inches of ice pellets frozen together. I have pics/video of my 16 mo old playing in it. We have enjoyed it though.

Oh, and my guess is you live where my parents do.....

Ahhh, I grew up in Dallas (Garland), and fondly remember those "snow" days! What fun! We got about that much (without the ice) in Indiana...my 3 year old was so excited! He thought we had so much. I can't wait until he sees more then one inch.
