God reads my blog!

At 6:00 last night my husband Dennis called.

“I thought I’d call and let you know I’m running late. It’s going to be at least 15 minutes before I can get out of here.”

"Okay, no big deal. I'm still working on dinner."

"Well, I usually call when I'm leaving, but I thought I'd try to let you know earlier this time so you wouldn't just be waiting for me."

I stared at the phone in amazement. “Have you been reading my blog?” I asked incredulously.

“No, why? Here…let me pull it up real quick.”

I could hear the clicking of the computer keys while he loaded the page.

“Nothing. It’s just that I mentioned this very conversation in it today.”

There was a pause as he skimmed my post.

"Just go to the bullets about half-way down."

He read out loud: “'You remembered to call to let me know you’d be late, so I’ll greet you at the door cheerfully.' Ha! That is so funny! I swear, I didn’t read it until just now!”

We had a good laugh together.

“Well, just to let you know, I plan on greeting you cheerfully at the door, no matter what time you come in tonight.”

So there you have it.

There IS a God, and He reads my blog (and yours!).

(And He whispers hints to husbands, too!)

I LOVE IT!!! Now - I just need to get my husband to read mine (or at the very least God to whisper it in his ear!!!). That is a great story - that is truly one of my "pet peeves" too!!

that makes me smile. my blog automatically sends a copy of my post to my husband and I STILL think he doesn't read it!

My dear friend and I have long since discovered that taking our gripes about our husband to God is much more effective than just griping to them!!
