And one last bloggy tip

Thanks so much to Laura (Org Junkie), Lara (The Lazy Organizer), Sara (The Cleft of the Rock), and Amanda (Mommy Diary Tales), and Jennifer (Snapshot) for helping me get the word out to "Check the Box!"

I leave you this week with one final tip - especially for you NON-Blogger users.

THANK YOU for taking the time to fill out a Blogger profile. Anonymous comments are okay, but really, we're family here. Let's get to know one another!

Some of you have blogs using another more expensive program.

When I click on your profile, I would love to visit your blog.

I see your nice picture and all your interests, and I say, "Wow, what a neat person! I'd like to get to know her!"

But I assume you have no blog.

UNLESS your profile looks something like this:
GO BACK TO YOUR PROFILE. Make sure you have your homepage URL listed. It does not have to be a Blogger URL. It can even be another website. Just put SOMETHING so we can all follow each other's links and get to know one another!

(If you are a Blogger user, you should double check that your blog is displayed on your profile here):
Now we are but one small click away from meeting!

Okay, I'm out of tips for now. I'll go and take care of my four (out of five, not bad, huh?) whiney sick kids now. My, how these things sneak up on a mom.

Oh dear, 4 out of 5, huh? I only have one, but that's enough for me.
One little bossy, "can you get me this, can you get me that", coughing, feverish, runny nosed, little toddler who wants to wear his pajamas all day long. (But extremely cute!) Whew. Glad it's only one.

Hope yours get better soon!
Take it easy.

Ha. Having fun with your new "Snag-it" toy are you?

I will link too (honest, this weekend!) and I'll add this one to it. These are great tips, Katherine

I agree with susanne. You must enjoy using snag it. I linked to your post yesterday too and Heather over at "Heathers Thoughts" teased me b/c she doesn't want that option on.

I agree. I wish EVERYONE who visited blogs would make a profile, but hey I understand. I don't have many visit my blog anyway especially anonymous...

You are too funny. I can really tell you are enjoying your new software. Some people are so smart that when I click their name, it automatically redirects me right then to their spiffy website. Not sure how they do that, but it saves me a click. . . .

So true - I hate it when I go to find them and their blog isn't listed!!! Good idea and reminder!

I love reading here and do comment, but I have no blog of my own to which I can refer you. I do always feel bad that the bloggers I like to visit don't have that opportunity to get to know me through a blog, should they so desire to, but I still would like to participate in this community to the extent that I'm able right now. And for now that means no blog.

I've been told by many people that I should start one, and there are days when I am just itching to write about something and entertain the idea, but I simply should not right now. We have some pretty huge needs going on in our family and I sense that in allowing a blog to pull my mind and focus to yet one more place I would actually be disobedient to God at this point. Who knows? Maybe next month I'll feel the ban lifted?!

Let me introduce myself with at least the most basic demographics, ok?
I'm 36 (For 3 more weeks! I will not own 37 before it's time!),Christian, married for 13.5 years, and have four children (a 10 y.o. boy, 7 y.o. boy, 3y.o. boy and 2 y.o. girl). Easy notables on the kids are that my 2 y.o. was born of my heart by adoption from Ethiopia, and my 10 y.o. has high-functioning autism and other issues. He's the main one in crisis, and is being homeschooled. Everyone will be homeschooled together next year. Currently I'm a SAHM, no longer able to swing the 24/7 on-call status that it takes to be a doula. Pleased to meet you! =) Thanks for sharing your blog with me.

Hey, I'm officially a non-blogger blogger, so come visit me at my new home! Things haven't changed much!

Great tips! I'm not sure how I got here, but I'm enjoying the ride. May I continue to travel on this journey with you?

Thanks for the tips, I finally was able to add a photo to my profile, this is the first blog I get to see if it shows up on!

Blessings!

This was so cute! And hope when you click on my profile, you will come visit me again sometime soon! :)

And I have one sick child too...so many bugs going around right now!

Have a good weekend, and hope we are all well soon!

OH MY GOODNESS! I got here from Rocks in My Dryer and I just read your daughter's letter! I hope that my little girls will love God like that! Absolutely precious!

Ok, ok, I updated the email address (we already receive gobs of spam anyway - boo!) and put my blog on my profile. I don't know why I was nervous about doing that... My blog is mainly a source for keeping our family up to date on us, since we live on seperate coasts, so it is likely boring for non-family to listening to all my bragging on my kids. :) But it is fun to make friends out in this blog-world too! I love being able to learn from so many wonderful women like you.

Hi Katherine, I came here from...um well, I started at Owlhaven and then went to Pastormac's Ann and I think you were there?????? Anyway, I am so dumb when it comes to blogging, so thanks for some of these tips, and I might need to go get Snagit.

I gotta load a picture into my profile. I tried once or twice but gave up. Love that snagit tool. So nifty!
