Spring Break Mode

Okay, so spring break isn't until next week, but we've had some beautiful weather here in Texas, and I'm itching to get out in my yard.

Now that my toes are better, and I'm over a touch of the flu that hit the rest of our family last week (note my conspicuous absence yesterday!), I´m just about ready.

Last year I planted this garden from Springhill Nurseries. The perennials are all coming up again already. I´m going to do some rearranging of those plants and add a few more.

Here´s this year´s project:
It´s the Mailbox Garden - won´t that be fun?

I´ll still be around the next week or so, checking in on you.

But mostly I´ll be pondering deep thoughts like, ¨Where should I put this scraggly plant?¨ and wondering which of my flower beds should get my luscious compost.

I may put out a post or two. But I´ll be spending most of my time digging in the dirt and making memories with my family.

Have a great Spring Break!

Beautiful weather? We're under a blizzard warning and are predicted to get 1-2 feet of snow.

That looks like a fun project. You'll have to share pictures. Glad your toes are better!

I'm with Wendy - we already have a foot since yesterday and another is on the way with 35 mph winds - BLIZZARD WARNING - but it sure sounds fun to be dealing with flowers - maybe in a month or two!!

That's gorgeous! We're not anywhere near springtime here, but I'll go check out the shop you linked to for inspiration!

I love Springhill Nurseries! I've ordered several things from them, too, with great results. Have fun!

That looks so beautiful! I admit that I do not have a green thumb. I do try each spring, but it never works out very well! I would love to see pictures when your mailbox begins to look like that!

Sounds like fun! I wish I could get outside and start doing that, but unfortunately our weather isn't quite as nice as yours. Just this morning it was freezing rain. Lovely. :( Enjoy the nice weather for us freezing up here!

Oh, that sounds like such fun, being outside in a garden. It's still Way too cold here.

I just may need to move to Texas some day:)

wow! your spring break is really early. Ours is not until the second week of March, which is also early I think.
Your garden looks lovely hope it grows well. We have a lot of troulbe on the west side of the metroplex...but we keep trying.

I've seen this from Michigan bulb!! It's soo pretty. I thought about getting some type of birdbath and doing it around that since our mailbox is up on our porch....hehe

I can't wait to get the weather you're talking about, though it's been in the high 30's so it's getting slightly nicer! LOL
