Potty thoughts

The potty is always a place for contemplation. Even for preschoolers. Here are a couple of recent potty-inspired conversations.

Overheard while she was sitting on the potty:

Three-year-old: [sneezes] "Oh, bless me! Oh! Thank you!"

Calling out from the bathroom first thing in the morning:

Five-year-old: "Hey, could y'all be more quiet out there? My foot is still asleep."

Thanks for the laugh,

Boy, talk about coincidences. My computer is by my bathroom door and my 5-year-old just ran in there frantically and cracked me up with her wit, as she was describing the proceedings.

Cute! I especially love to hear little voices singing away as they sit.
Many of my boys' "potty thoughts" tend to be less cute and more focused on, um, more potty oriented topics. Not that those can't also be funny. (One especially hilarious one I'm thinking of came when one of my children was apparently taking a potty Rorschach test... I'll spare you the story!)

Oh, the potty is a thinking place, all right.
I love the self-blessing! :D

There's just something about potty humor...it's common to the life of a mom. We all live it, so might as well love it, right?
