What chores do cowboys do all day long?

Sorry for another google-search-inspired post, but this was too good to pass up.

My dear searcher is looking for chores that cowboys do all day long.

Well, let me introduce you to Cowboy. Cowboy is our Schnoodle (half mini-schnauzer and half toy poodle). Since you've made it all the way to Raising Five, I will share with you Cowboy's chores.

1. Cuddle with anyone who is sitting with a pillow, blanket or stuffed animal. Sheesh, if she wouldn't squeeze me so hard, I might be able to get an extra minute or two of shut-eye, here!

2. Put up with all kinds of torture play with pre-adolescent boy. If he makes me do a back flip again, I might just teach him a lesson that includes doggie barf.3. Tag along on family trips to the lake. If I hang out by the fire long enough, I might get lucky and land a stray hot dog or marshmallow. That little one doesn't watch her stick very well...I'll hang around her.

3. Keep sick people company. Ooh, this is such a nice blankie. Maybe if I stretch out just so, he'll scratch my back.

4. Pretend to enjoy it when playing doctor. My, the "gown" looks sharp, doesn't it? Really brings out my silver highlights.

**Edited to add**

5. Look cute and helpless for family photos. Hate to steal her thunder, but the Little One really isn't the baby, is she?

Of course, we require Cowboy to be on call for any of these chores 24/7. This is in addition to his availability to yip at protect us from neighbor kids would-be evildoers that might walk past our house.

We find that these chores keep Cowboy quite busy. But he has learned to manage his time well.

Unlike our other canine family member (whom we love just as well, he's just more work) Cowboy does not waste time doing all those things we DON'T want him to: he doesn't shed, slobber, dig or chew. He even COMES WHEN WE CALL HIM (the only animal we've ever had that can do this!) and he can do two tricks (dance and roll over). All this and under 12 pounds.

Hey, when you're THIS CUTE, do you really need to do anything else?

What a great post idea! Too funny. Cowboy looks like he handles his chores like a real 'hand.

what a cutie pie! I would love to snuggle with him while sick on the couch, what a comfort. No animals in this house yet, but I'm sure they will come at some point.

Cowboy does his chores well! And you're right, when you're that cute you don't need to do a whole lot.

Oh, how cute! Some little boy somewhere exasperated his mama with questions about "what cowboys do all day" and she sent him to Google! Great idea! :)
Love the fun post!

This is SOOO cute! Love your little cowboy! We have a Jack Russell who really does take the cake at many things, but I don't think he's as talented as Cowboy. It's nice to have a small dog. They don't make big size messes...usually...except for the time he shredded an entire box of kleenex. It looked like it snowed in my family room. Oh, it was a chuckle!
