Where do I get off?

It's Thursday and I'm tired. Really tired.

It's going on two weeks since my bout with the flu began, and I'm getting a little annoyed that each day is still an effort (you know it's bad when you wake up in the morning wondering when you can squeeze a nap in!). I'd like to think my reserve is getting better, but it's still nowhere near normal. It's like walking through waist-deep snow - trudging...trudging!

And yet there are things to be done.

Yesterday there was the Dallas Museum of Art with a group of third graders. Last night there was the ladies' meeting. Today it's swimming lessons, guitar lessons, softball practice, and a volleyball party. And in between, there's laundry, kissing boo-boos, dishes, helping with dress-up clothes, phone calls, phonics, bills, and emails. I don't suppose there's a convenient place to get off this boat...

Today I need His strength. He is faithful to give it in my time of need (and yes, I'll take a nap, too!).
The LORD gives strength to his people;
the LORD blesses his people with peace.
Psalm 29:11

It's good to know I'm not the only one who has days of trudging. It's amazing how lack of sleep can change the attitude! And there's nothing like a good shower to enliven you eh! Have a blessed day, resting in the Lord's provision of strength and peace.
Right there with you!

Wish we lived a little closer so I could help you. Hang in there and try and get some rest. You deserve it!

Oh Katherine, saying a prayer for you! Do you have someone who can take the kids on those activities this week and you return the favor when your feeling better?

I hear you. While I haven't been sick, I've been having to get used to a baby who stopped his morning nap (still have the afternoon one, though) and the fact he is extremely busy these days. It's wearing me out. So, I'll pray for strength for you, friend. :)

Goodness gracious, that's a busy schedule, flu or no flu!

Maybe you can relax over the Mother's Day Weekend? And pop a vitamin or two!
