Thanks, and more thanks!

I wanted to thank some people who were nice enough to nominate me for two awards. Bethany at A Picturesque Life and Susanne at Living to Tell the Story both nominated me for the Reflection Award.

Then, contrary to what my kids would say, Beth at Sportsmama and Laura at My Quotidian Mysteries both thought I was a Rockin' Girl Blogger. Who knew?

I'm always humbled when I realize (a) anyone even reads my blog, and (b) anyone would ever want to come back, let alone get something meaningful out of it. You guys make it worth it all, and you have blessed me so much!

So in my own, awkward way, I'm going to attempt to say thank you by nominating some of my bloggy friends who not only rock, but who also make me think. Because in my mind, To Think is To Rock.

Consider yourselves doubly nominated.

Here's a bit about the Reflection Award:

"As for my award, it is called The Blogger Reflection Award. Why? The reason for the title is because this award should make you reflect on five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and have been a Godly example to you. Five Bloggers who when you reflect on them you get a sense of pride and joy... of knowing them and being blessed by them."

"This award is for the best-of-the-best so consider who you pick, carefully. This award should not be given to just anyone. If you're going to do the award don't just write a few words and slap it on your blog. Write real thoughts about these bloggers and what they've been to you, and if the bloggers you pick have already been given the award, don't be afraid to give to them again. They deserve it as many times as it's given."

1. Rachel Anne at Home Sanctuary (and not just because she's my sister). Well, maybe just a teensy bit because she's my sister. Rachel is one of those people you just can't get enough of. She's an incredibly talented and busy person, and yet she makes you feel (whether in person or on her blog) that you are the most important person ever. She is funny and self-deprecating and honest. And her kids are awesome. Do I need to say more? Here's one of my favorite posts about marriage and hair.

2. Andrea at Flourishing Mother. She's probably already gotten these awards, but I'm going to do it anyway. When you visit Andrea's site, you feel the peace the permeates every keystroke of her writing. She and I have children about the same ages, and she's challenged me on every level in my mothering and in my walk with Christ. Andrea's beautiful story of becoming a mother illustrates her love for the Lord and for her family.

3. LB at thoughts from lb. LB is a college student whose love for God and heart for missions are at the core of her blog. She is also a very good writer and can keep my attention through great storytelling. I bet you'll love her, too, after you read this post about Beth Moore's hair.

4. Deidre at For Such a Time as This. I've enjoyed getting to know Deidre the last few months. She has a heart for serving her family, and it shows in her sweet blog. Here's a post about her daughter's imaginary friend that had me cracking up!

5. Chris at Come to the Table. I love Chris's easy, conversational way of writing. She talks about God and kids and thinking about life all as fluidly as breathing. Here's a thoughtful post about dealing with potty training and driver training...all at the same time!

Na-na-na-boo-boo, but I nominated you first for this award! I don't know if you saw it yet.

Thanks a bunch, Katherine. The feeling is mutual of course. Could you print out your entire archives and send them to me for future reference? thanks. *grin*

blessings and love,
andrea

So, I should fess up that I've been reading your blog for a while. So what did it take for me to finally comment? I know LB personally & she is everything that her blog suggests. Just thought I'd let you know. :)
