And I missed it!

Poor Annie (6) has been been so sick, with fevers around 104 for three days. Doctor says it's just a virus, and I gotta admit, I love how snuggly my kids are when they're sick, so I've enjoyed taking care of her (with Ruthie's 3-year-old help). Besides, I'm really good at putting off laundry, dishes, and general necessities of life when I've got a little one who will sit in my lap!

PROUD MAMA BRAGGING PARAGRAPH TO FOLLOW!

Last night, however, I was wishing she was feeling better. Not only did I have to miss Allie's (14) volleyball game, in which she reportedly made 14 unanswered points with her wicked serve, I had to miss Neal's (12) first football game. He only played one season of football back in third grade, so we were surprised they put him at quarterback for his school's seventh grade "B" team. Here he is handing off the ball for the win, 7-0.

Annie's fever is down today, thank the Lord. Next time she will be with me, and I'll be the one with the camera!

I always hated missing Kay's games for any reason. Your warning made me laugh! Needed that. Thanks.

What a bummer to miss those fun games.

I have to tell you, I made your Unbelieveable Pancakes and I had to throw the whole batch out! Yesterday, as I made biscuits, I realized that I had put in 4 T of baking soda, not baking powder as the recipe called for! I will be trying them again, because even with that mistake, they looked awesome! Thought you might get a laugh out of that!

Gosh, I hate those lingering fevers. I know the doctor's just gonna tell me to give 'em Tylenol and Ibuprofen, so I don't even take them in unless they have other symptoms or it lasts longer than 3 days.

Sounds like your big kids are doing great in sports this season. Aren't their games fun and nerve-wracking all at the same time?

Go ahead and brag, a mom needs to every once in a while.

Hope everyone is well soon...and that you don't come down with it. Because we all know you won't be allowed to lay around with cold wash clothes on your head all day long. lol.
