Here's a computer-drawing Annie(6) made at school this week.
I don't know if she had a particular memory in mind when she drew his hand holding hers, but I immediately remembered our trip this summer. She even got his hair right...
Sigh. In spite of all that's gone on here in the last few weeks (we are now on the third child with high fever today), life is SO GOOD.

Still here Katherine, reading you and loving you. Sorry it's been awhile since I've commented, but let me just say that I am always so encouraged and blessed and entertained by your posts. I love the picture of you and your husband in bed with a sea of children in sleeping bags around you, gasping for air! And cheers to wonderful husbands/fathers, there's nothing quite like them!

You should totally have those two pictures matted in a mat with two openings and then frame it and hang it up or give it to you husband for a Christmas gift or something. They are a perfect match@!

I love, love, love the drawing. But only a mama would think of the connection between the two. Don't you love that.
And, I hate to say it, but be thankful for that high fever...perhaps it will slow you down this week when you need it most.

I love it. Jamie(4) just a few days ago made me tell him how to spell "I love you, Daddy" letter by letter to write him a note. The first time he's ever even cared about writing much, and it was such a sweet note. Precious, precious, precious.
Meditating with you on the life is SO GOOD part... :)
It's funny how they flip the hair on the drawings. My 7 year old daughter does that on all her girl drawings.
