Blogging and Breaks

Tomorrow my schedule looks like this:

6:00-6:30 - Up and get ready for the day (it'll have to be quick!).
6:30-8:15 - Get kids up and ready (multiple trips in car at various times to school and practices)
8:15-10:00 - Get house ready for company, try to make a pathway in our pass-through laundry room so I can get to garage without killing myself
10:00-2:45 - Get in-laws at the airport, visit a while, and make something unforgettable for dinner
2:45-4:30 - Get kids from school, supervise homework, more visiting with in-laws, early dinner
5:30 Football game (Neal, 12)
6:30 Volleyball game (Allie, 14)
7:40 Softball game (Libby, 9, and yes, we advanced to the playoffs. Um, hooray?)
9:00-?? Stay up way too late laughing and learning how to make fudge with my mother-in-law (I can dream, can't I?)

Oh, and did I mention that my husband Dennis starts a new job tomorrow?

As you can see, we are trying to pack in as many events into one day as we possibly can. Like I said before, some weeks are just like this.

So I'm saying "NO" to what I need to: blogging.

Love to you all - but I plan to live first, blog later. My inlaws are the greatest, and they deserve my undivided attention. So this week, it will be much later!

See you next week!

I'm up late working and this made me chuckle. I think this is great. You have a great break! Let us know how that fudge turns out.

My day looks similar. I think real, live people in your home are much more important than strangers who might be "stalking" you in the blog world. (For your readers who take things literally, ie.(mounds of laundry 10x daily), I am totally joking when I use the word "stalking"). LOL

And good for you.

And it's nice to know someone who enjoys their in-laws. Mine have passed away, but I enjoyed them as well. It seems most people don't.

Have a great week!

I'll be praying your daughter's team doesn't go far in the playoffs!! (haha.)
May you be rested this week.

you forgot to tell everyone that you were in Eugene, Oregon eating at Pizza Schmizza and I was stalking you (since I wasn't brave enough to say "hi!"). :)

Rachel Ray's Five Minute Fudge
(5 minutes exactly is a stretch, but not much!)
Melt together in a heavy pan:
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 t. vanilla

Stir in:
1 c. walnuts or pecans
optional: 1/2 c. raisins

Scoop into a greased cake pan. Chill 30 min. Slice and serve.

Enjoy your time =).

Hae agreat visit with your in laws. My father in law is coming tomorrow. Looking at the house it is reasonably clean and neat. Dad is a neat freak--so the kids will have to vacuum once again and maybe I can talk one teen into mopping the litchen floor.

You know I always wanted a large family but was told after my second child I couldn't have anymore. I as very sad but with 2 I am juggling very often and honestly what I would do with more.

Right now we are the house where all the teens 'Hang'.

I never know how many are staying for dinner--I think I had told you that my honey wanted to know how many were staying for dinner and he freaked when I told him I didn't know?! He ended up making 8 pieces of chix and we had 4 stay BUT 2 came back at 9:30 for dinner. Good thing he made extra chicken.

Your schedule looks like mine and I only have 2 kiddos. Don't forget to breathe.

Katherine enjoy your break. After looking at my last blog I noticed that blogging at 3 in the morning isn't a good thing....tons of spelling errors. Sorry. In my defense my husband who incidentally works 70+ hours a week will come home and relax playing video games. So...

Case in point for example--last night he came home early about 8 and went right to the computer and started playing games. He didn't get to bed untl 3:30 this morning.

I grab the computer when I can which is usually about 6AM. Gotta go---dad comes in town today...Oh my look at the laundry?! %$#@ I thought that I caught up yesterday.

Hi Katherine, I have read your blog for awhile now. I really look up to you as a wife and a mother and for all you have learned over the course of your marriage and parenting years so far.
I was wondering, if you get a chance, if you could read my current post about my daughter, to see if you may be able to give some words of advice.

Thank you!

Oh my! you do have a busy day...

It's ok to say No to things less important.

Even though our days are busy...we still can enjoy the process...

Enjoy your process today :o)
