Yea! Saved by snow!

Woo hoo! A post from me that is not about renovating, obsessive cleaning, or househunting!

After a weekend in the 70s, yesterday we got our annual dusting of snow here in Texas. If the kids look a little disheveled, it's because this is one of the first snow days I can remember that the whole city school was not shut down (yes, we are complete wimps).

So the kids knew if they were going to get to play in it, they had to do it before school. Here are Annie (6) and Libby (10) at 7:00 a.m.

Then Ruthie (4) rolled out of bed and got in on the action.

The day warmed up to a gorgeous 58 degrees, but, by golly, we made our snowmen!

In typical Texas fashion, today's high is sunny and 67, although I hear we could get snow on Friday. But it will be nice again for the weekend, so I'm good!

We saw some snow in the air on...was it Monday night? But it never stuck to the ground, and my girls were oh, so cranky that there was nothing to see when they woke up yesterday morning.

Oh is Texas, and it's not May yet, so there's still time!

Snow! That just makes winter, doesn't it?

That is kind of nice for you all. We are supposed to get some snow tonight and tomorrow. Walmart was a mad house this morning.
