I'm back...sort of!

This was our view for five fabulous days without phones, computers, television, or...schedule. Ahh. It was as close to paradise as it comes.

I was fine until we were finally able to borrow a local cell phone on the next-to-last day, and we talked with the kids, one by one. We talked about the weather and how they were doing and all the fun they were having. I could just imagine their animated faces telling about their very daily doings, while we were worlds removed from ours. I guess that's how you know you've been gone long enough. I couldn't wait to get home and see them all and hug their little (okay, at least one of them is big) necks.

But more on that later.

Right now I'm happy to announce that we had the most (and I'd like to think, the best - good gracious, we have enough ideas to write a book!) comments of all the blogs that played along with the "what we do in the kitchen" contest.

SO, The Motherhood folks randomly selected three more Rice Krispies gift basket winners!

Here they are:
  • Amyanne (aka "Aunt Edna")
  • Lisa P from California
  • Andrea from Illinois
If you folks will kindly email me your snail mail address, I will make sure you get your gift!!

I am still on Island Time...moving slowly and thinking things like, "NO PROBLEM, MAN!" I suppose I should go throw in some laundry, but hmmm, maybe I should take a nap first?

WOW! It looks like you were at the very end of the world the way the water and sky seem to curve around the earth. How breath taking.

Glad you enjoyed yourself, but glad you're back too!
