Here are the details from her book site, CompanyGirl.com:
Fortunately for me, I have quite a few Company Girls around here that give me plenty of photo ops. Rachel Anne and I were the "original" company girls, as you can see here. And things haven't changed much.
“Company Girl” is a phrase my daughters coined back in their tea-party and dress-up days…and it just stayed around because we loved it. It describes the kind of friendship that every woman wants to have, and the kind of friend every woman would like to be.
We’re inviting you to be a part of this exciting project by submitting your photographs for a chance to be published in a beautiful gift book, titled, “Company Girl!” Simply upload your favorite original “girlfriends” photo by clicking on the “upload” page. We’ll post it here…and then enjoy the beauty of friendship together!
Selections for the final publication will take place sometime after June 7, 2009. In the meantime, let’s celebrate friendship in all shapes and sizes by watching this online collection of photos grow!
NOTE: Submit a photo by Midnight Sunday (May 31) to be eligible for a drawing for a $30.00 gift certificate to Sam Moon Trading Company! Just blog, twitter or facebook about it after you’ve submitted, then let us know by emailing email@example.com!
Here Ruthie-5 (then 3) keeps her cousin company.
And here she is again sharing a Company-Girl-only moment with Annie.
I will have you know I searched through about 5000 self-portraits to find this one of Allie-15 and Libby-11. Silly girls.
I'm not going to win the Sam Moon gift card (it's not written in the fine print, but I suppose it would be a bit suspicious...) but it was so fun looking through pics to find ones that especially capture a moment. I can't wait to see what y'all send in!
