FOLDING LAUNDRY IN THE GARAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!!!!! I have a horribly small laundry room and I get tired of putting everything on my bed, just to rake it to the floor at bedtime, to simply put it back on the bed in the morning...(did I just admit to doing that?!?! lol)

I absolutely love your blog and we have such amazingly similar stories it's freightening. I'm a 43 year old, mother of 5 oldest 16 and youngest 7 and I'm also a nurse. Well, was a nurse, retired to motherhood for now.

Katherine, good for you. You can do it! You inspire me to go for those things I've put on the back burner since having kids, too.

Good luck with your studies! Not sure if you remember, but you emailed me the most inspirational email when I had to return to work after being home for 3 years with my kids. I had to leave my youngest who at the time was only 9wks. old and I was a wreck! I just want you to know how much your email meant to me, and I wanted to thank you. I wish you the best with all your new challenges. I've now been working for 1 year and although it's been difficult, I can see how I should be thankful to have a job for my family. Sometimes the best things come when we're pushed! God bless you!

Good for you! I'm 42 and going back to school to get a nursing degree. It's the hardest thing I've ever done, but my family is on board and trying to do all they can to help out. So glad to know there are others out there like me ... just making it a day at a time!

I am so proud of you! If anyone can do it, I KNOW it is you. You have always had that drive and strength to do anything you set your mind to! I would love to go back to school! I don't see it in the cards for me right now but, hey, I still have time. Maybe I will cut back on volunteering and go get that degree finished instead. That would cross a HUGE thing off of my bucket list.

Yep, been there, done that. 3 kids, hobby farm, working shift work on call as an RN, took one course at a time and 6 years later, got my degree in nursing - and we all survived! It meant that I got a daytime job in the community that I love, and that was 20 years ago. I am now 63 yrs. old, still working and still loving it. Don't be too hard on yourself, just get through. I worked hard to get good marks, but noone ever asked what marks I got, only if I had my degree.

Oh my! What an adventure! Writing is not so bad, but I think I would have trouble just sitting still in class.

I'm glad everyone is willing to pitch in around the house. That's great!

I had a BS in Business already, but changed career paths after graduating, and was on my way to getting a Early Childhood Education (Child Dev.) degree. I was 1 class(!!!) away from an AA when I was pregnant with my older daughter. I don't even think I'm going to go back in that direction when the kids are off to school, but 1 class! It's killin' me here. =p Should I take it one day just to complete it? hehe
